Monday morning, the whole business on one page
A weekly owner brief that puts cash, sales, pipeline and overdue invoices on one page every Monday, built from the accounting, CRM and payment tools the business already uses, with Claude Cowork
The problem
The owner of a small company starts Monday by opening the bank app, the accounting software, the CRM and the payment dashboard, and still cannot say in one sentence how the business stands. The numbers live in four tools, nobody has time to stitch them together, and overdue invoices get noticed when cash runs short.
How the agent works
It starts
The owner installs Claude for Small Business inside Claude Cowork, connects the tools the business already runs on (for example Intuit QuickBooks or Xero for the books, HubSpot for the pipeline, Stripe or PayPal for payments) and picks the weekly brief workflow, which Anthropic describes as cash, sales, pipeline and overdue invoices on one page.
The agent works
On a schedule, Monday morning, the agent pulls the current cash position from the accounting connector, last week's sales and the open pipeline from the CRM, and the invoices past their due date, and writes a one page brief in plain language with the three things that need a decision. The brief lands in the owner's hands before the first meeting; the agent does not chase anyone and does not move money. The owner reads it, checks any figure that looks wrong against the source tool, and decides what to do about the overdue invoices.
The result
By default the product waits for the owner's approval before anything sends, posts or pays, so the brief stays a reading document unless the owner adds a follow up step.
Worked example
Anthropic's post of 15 September 2026 lists 43 workflows in Claude for Small Business and names the weekly brief as one of them: 'Cash, sales, pipeline, and overdue invoices on one page.' Any of the 37 connectors can feed it, including Intuit QuickBooks, Xero, MYOB, Zoho Books, HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho CRM, Stripe, Square and PayPal. The same post reports more than 900,000 installs of Claude for Small Business since the May launch, Anthropic's own figure. It publishes no figures for the brief itself, so the thing to measure is simple: whether the owner stops opening four tools on Monday morning.
