An agent that reads your monday.com project boards every Friday and drafts the client status report
The problem
Project managers spend Friday afternoon copying statuses and dates out of monday.com into an email or slide for each client. The report goes out late, looks different from one PM to the next, and the overdue items that matter most are buried in a list of everything else.
How the agent works
A schedule starts the agent on Friday at 15:00. Through monday.com's MCP server it reads the board schema, pulls the items on the client's board with their status, owner, due date and latest update, and sorts them into done this week, in progress, overdue and planned for next week. It drafts a one page report in the agency's template, leads with risks and decisions the client needs to make, and writes the draft as an update on a Report item on the board, tagging the PM. The PM edits the wording, adds context the board does not hold, and sends the report to the client. The agent only reads board data and writes that one update; it never changes a status or a date.
Worked example
monday.com publishes the pieces on GitHub: a hosted MCP server at mcp.monday.com and an agent toolkit with tools such as get board items by name, get board schema and create update on an item, plus a read only mode for retrieval only use. The README lists generating reports and insights as a use case. No customer figures are published there, so measure the PM hours you save yourself.
Run this in your business
Digigen's AI Workshop and Solution Design package takes a use case like this from idea to a working build: a half day workshop with your team (THB 25,000) or ten days of discovery, prioritisation and solution design (THB 160,000, credited against the build).
